Parking Lot Ducks 12/04/14

I love these rainy days!  In the grocery store parking lot, Kai and I happened upon a group of ducks and fed them the trail mix that had fallen all over the floor in our car.  (Bonus car cleaning!)

Kai was very worried about them getting run over and insisted on leading them to the grassy area beside the parking lot, out of danger.  He said it was our responsibility since we fed them.

Dolphin Golfin' 12/02/14

Also at the Seapoint Resort in Carlsbad, on our rainy stay-cation, we took advantage of "Dolphin Golfin"  A cute little mini-golf setup.  Kai was less interested in playing the putting green rules and more interested in fetching the ball after it went in the hole, by picking up the cool stick.  He guided me around the small course, in numerical order as we played.  He also put together the punny name by pointing out the dolphins on the putting course and posing on them.  

Resort Legos 12/03/14

While we stayed at the Seapoint Resort in Carlsbad, CA, Kai took advantage of their kids Lego table, which is a pretty cool design with a triangle shaped hole to store the Legos in.  He loved it but says ours at home is better, which Grandpa made him so that's good.  

Kai wanted to make a rainbow, and was singing the "Roy G. Biv" song by They Might Be Giants while he put the colors in order.  

Wild Animal Park 11/25/14

When we go to the Wild Animal Park, now called the SD Zoo Safari Park, Kai loves to use the map and be the navigator!  This time that we went we met some friends so Kai navigated some places and other friends took turns choosing routes as well.  He commented that the things on the map weren't accurate size (ratio), which I thought was funny and impressive, since it's true.
